I don't really like the Saw movies. It's fun to watch, but knowing it isn't real just sucks all the pleasure out of it.

Did you even watch the first "Saw"? I thought it would be gore and torture porn for which the franchise has become known for (I'd only seen parts of the later films which put me off the series) but I was pleasantly surprised it turned out to be a thriller in the vein of "Se7en".
