Just wondering:
I watched the first 2 seasons a little under a year ago, and didn't like them much at all.

Then I watched Fire Walk With Me, and it just about single-handedly redeemed the series. One of my favorite movies of all time.

And now I've been watching Season 3 every week... EASILY one of my favorite things I've ever seen on television. I'm now glad that I slogged through the original JUST so I could enjoy this new season.

Anyone with a similar story?

Asking because all my friends are massive fans of the original series, and are the ones who convinced me to watch it. We've had some hot debates over its quality.

I don't think she was complaining about her role in the show, she was complaining about her lack of presence in the press/advertising for the new season. She basically called Lynch/Frost sexist because Kyle was the only one really doing any media appearances for the show at the time. Only Kyle got the full script I assume because he's the main character and Lynch has said Kyle actually gave him a good amount of input on the original show, it's clear he trusts him creatively. This is also nothing new from the series, the actors have said multiple times a lot was kept from them. As for the advertising, the main ads I saw were billboards (just Coop and Laura) and Entertainment Weekly's photo op, which had her all over it. I dunno what more she wants.

when you film for 4:3, you film it in cinema widescreen, but place everything in the shot as if you are shooting in 4:3.

if you were to see the original widescreen footage, everything would be in the center of the frame, with wasted space at the side of whatever just happened to be in the shot.
