what is the general consensus on Putin after watching Oliver Stone's "The Putin Interviews"? is he /ourguy/?
He's only saying what any impartial observer has been saying since November - treason is not a gameplan. Trying to throw out the people's decision because you didn't script it that way is not a gameplan.

Most competent leader in the world today, up there with Xi.
He's definitely a dictator though, but given how corrupt and shitty things are in Russia that might be a positive.

He's a brutal dictator who kills his detractors and opponents.
But he's really fucking good at everything else he does.
>It would be nice to see America and Russia on the same side for once.
Why is this a controversial statement?

Because the reason they're opposed is capitalistic - both are too large to be intimidated by the other. The reason China is seen as a threat is also this. Basically, choosing to ally with one or the other is completely arbitrary - you just can't ally with both, because they're competitors in terms of capitalist empire-building. This is the real reason, the rest is all horseshit.
>muh working class got trump elected
Gerrymandering and voter suppression got trump elected. Most working class and poor people didn't vote in the election. It's bullshit when conservatives say that Trump supporters are apart of the working class.

Holy shit he's right on point.
He's pretty spot on. Trump heard the complaints people made and capitalized on that. The real problem comes down to the fact that the administration isn't going to be beneficial to the average person. I get the need to be contrarian on this site, but the people who blindly support Trump because "muh liberals" "muh SJWs" simply do this out of spite, when it'll have damning ramifications later on.
I liked putin since he protected Ukraine and I voted for trump.

Based Putin.
