The original trilogy was much better, it wasnt a love story, and it didnt have such an obvious agenda, i swear to god the Republic = USA, corrupt senators, emergency powers, false flags and muh freedumbs. Kenobi even tells Anakin that senators only care about the people who fumd their campaigns. Not that the OT was free from agendas but it was more subtle.
