Very underrated movie. The first half is God Tier. The second half gets kind of iffy at parts but I can forgive it. Great film.

Second half has it's problems but it isn't really all bad. Remake could be really good if they could actually get Bigelow and Cameron to write it.

I think the problem with the movie is saving the last confrontation with the cops (D'Onofrio and Fitchner) until the very end. The movie sags after Tom Sizemore is killed. Also the #BLM shit was a little cringeworthy (I understand Rodney King was a thing at the time). Still a visual masterpiece of a film.
