Just watched it tonight. It was a really good Spider-Man movie, probably the most faithful big screen adaptation of the webslinger yet. You guys have been screaming about how you want a movie where a newbie superhero learns the rope so there you have it. RDJ and Birdman chomped all of their scenes, worth the watch just for them alone.

It's probably the first MCU movie where the main villain defeated the main character in the final duel.

Tony and Pepper are finally together again. Bestest MCU couple, please let them have their happy ending.

I just thought it was poorly made (CGI looked horribly dated) and all the casting choices bar Keaton were bad (Holland's squeaky mouse voice is unbearable), it was literally Amy Pascal's emails in movie form. RDJ salvaged some parts but that's it.
I'm just saying that /tv/ wasn't wrong because everyone and their mother knew this would make money.

Great movie, mostly because it breaks quite a few capeshit tropes.

It actually has the balls to make Spider-Man geniunely inexperienced and uncool for the entire movie. Instead of just having the "teenage superhero" thing be lip-service it commits to it. It might skip him becoming Spider-Man but the entire movie is basically an origin story.

Ironically I think adults will like this movie more than kids, or at least <12 kids. There's not that much action, relatively speaking; and Spider-Man barely feels like a superhero.
