So, now that after 8 years the dust has finally settled, what is /tv/'s consensus on Avatar?

K I N O
for a movie about reverence for nature and spirituality, this movie was quite soulless.
the movie was literally just made to display the most high-tech filming capabilities (at the time). Sure, it still looks (somewhat) good, but it really doesn't have much going for it. It's unoriginal as shit, boring as fuck and aged like milk that was already sour when you bought it.
cool tech demo
this is my opinion
>>84696763
utter shit. one of the most jerked off of all time
>>84696763
I still haven't watched it because I don't see the reason of downloading a br rip of a basically technical benchmark film and watching it on my TV
>>84697648
its nothing special but its a fun (if dumb) sci-fi action film just on its own
>>84697364
I agree with it.

i completely forgot about avatar's existence...
But wait, wasn't there supposed to be a sequel?
is shit
>>84696763
I didn't care for it.

Unfortunately, I've seen the movie a few times. Once when it came out and a few more when I was working these programs that played movies.
Dumb plot, dumb characters, but it's pretty to look at and the last twenty minutes feature some cool action. There's a reason nobody talks about this movie anymore.
