You are overstating his influence to begin with, to be honest. He didn't pioneer the format. The Dennis Miller Show would start with a political sermon filled with crass humour, and that was in 1992, a year before anyone even heard of Jon Stewart. The difference is Dennis Miller was always broadly libertarian whereas Stewart is a Jew. He didn't invent the format (neither did Dennis Miller, desu), and he isn't responsible for the Corporation Deep State branding multiculturalism + liberalism the hip, cool, new thing.
