In the midst of all the chaos, the young boy stands to salute and sing his welsh lullaby as he watches the new recruits fly off into battle. He knows nothing really about war, and the politics surrounding it, but he understands the soldier's courage and bravery, as human beings. He doesn't see them as his enemy, but as men who are about to risk their lives for honor.
