The second one is a direct sequel following Brigitte's transformation. It's darker and has less humor than the original, but I think it's really good.

Third movie is a prequel set in the 1800s. It's pretty mediocre in my opinion. Some people seem to like it though.

Just finished the second one and it was pretty great, might actually like it more than the first one.
Had a real Dog Soldiers vibe at the end which was nice. Too bad that practical effects are pretty much dead these days it really does add a lot.

They really took care with the details in this film. Emily said in an interview that makeup took 7 hours at the final stages. Today they would probably do most of it with CGI.
