Genetically, women do not understand war from the point of view of the warrior. Even if I'm fat and not very good at fighting, the urge and in the inklings are inside me, genetically. A woman watches a war movie as detached as a scientist observing rats in mazes. They take notes and ask questions and want the answers, but have no way of internalizing the very nature of war. Even if women will fight each other over a man or a snowcones, that's not the same time, it's just violence.

Political correctness is the root source of this particular issue. Vast majority of women are unfit for combat even with training . Biology itself makes them a liability in combat where aggressiveness is mandatory (hormones, period, hygiene, physical strength potential etc).

And men being men, they will try to fuck 'em. A group of men can band together to cover each other equally, but with women in the mix, men have a genetic compulsion to protect the women first. Not to mention the fact that the men will try to fuck them and/or develop romantic feelings for them which clouds their judgment. You heavily jeopardize the cohesiveness of a fighting unit.

Ya I've known a couple people who have met their spouses in the military. Buddy of mine actually met his wife in initial training. As far as one-time fling kinda things, they don't actually happen too often or when they do they're mostly kept on the down-low.
There was a big deal a couple years ago with rapes/sexual assaults in the military so nowadays if you so much as look at somebody wrong you can get your ass a sexual assault complaint and kicked out or booted back down to E-1/O-1. Unit cohesion is a big one.
