He had already made enemies with the higher ups during last contract negotiations. He obviously pissed them off enough he lost his name on the station. He signed a short term deal.
Everyone who was left at his show didnt like him. He mistreated an intern till he quit. His producers hated him. Kenny left. He fought with Jason Ellis, he fought with Jim and Sam.
He fought with the Bennington show behind the scenes.
He pissed off Howard in the halls, which is a huge no no. He trespassed in Howards studios.
His ratings had to have been really poor. He probably was already pushing and fighting about the new contract coming in October.

Ant's a creep but a great host/broadcaster in a traditional sense, and so many people hosting webshows/podcasts have no hosting skill. I don't always agree with him but still listen to his take on things. I like his current show, he has good guests and sometimes a no-name comic he has on actually turns out to be really funny.

Opie was always a talent-less hack who didn't deserve any of his notoriety. Ant, Jim and good guests carried the whole thing for most of O&A years.

After having listened to hundreds of hours of O&A clips on Youtube, I have to say I cannot understand, at all, why anyone would bow to Opie and treat him with kid gloves. When anyone else bombed, especially any comedian, there would be at solid 1-2 minutes of lambasting and humiliation. Everytime Opie bombed, there would be an awkward silence and rushes segue into something else.

Notorious ballbreakers like Patrice or Nic Dipaulo would never even call him out for his constant bombing, for constantly ruining the cadence of conversations by cutting to phoners (that often kissed his ass by bringing up some awful line that got a 0) , for ALWAYS being a pathological liar in alluding to some fictitious story and saying "WELL, that's a story for another day!". He was treated with some exemption clause as if he was the actual president of Sirius/XM and one chide on his behalf would lead to instant firings. It is truly baffling that someone that talks for a living could NEVER piece together more than a 10-word sentence without stammering, or running out of breath, or having awful deliveries. He was treated like the awful coach's son on a football team, who had to be respected out of circumstance, and rightfully so, but why?

There's no way Anthony is currently making the same money he did while at Sirius. He lives a nigger rich lifestyle so you know he doesn't have a shitload saved.
