The weird thing is, I really related with him despite being the polar opposite in looks, career, financial situation, size, and luck with women. I guess what the film really does a good job with is making the point that the difficulties people fact are in fact subjective, and not a linear objective scale. Well yeah, it's hardly surprising that /tv/ hates Shame
Although even putting aside /tv/'s autistic reasons for disliking it is pretty overrated outside 4chan, definitely McQueen's weakest film and a massive step down from Hunger
