Ah yeah, you're right. Psych was 2006 and Mentalist was 2008. I honestly enjoyed both, didn't see a reason to hate one just because I liked the other. I enjoyed Psych for it's comedy, all the awesome bromance moments as well as the constant 80s references. Not to mention all the supporting characters that I ended up loving like Lassie.

I also liked Mentalist though. It's one of the few procedural type cop shows that I enjoyed. Kinda over the top in it's own way but I liked Jane's backstory.

I like the first few seasons of The Mentalist. Pretty comfy show.

But, man, they really botched the Red John reveal and death.

6/10 formulaic series with a few great episodes.
