/who/ did it once. Now, we're gonna do it again! Yet another entry in an age-old tradition of p̶a̶c̶k̶a̶g̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶f̶a̶n̶f̶i̶c̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶g̶e̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶m̶ ̶a̶n̶ ̶a̶i̶r̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶l̶e̶g̶i̶t̶i̶m̶a̶c̶y̶ / celebrating the magic of Who and the talent of a community.

There are no limits (except the story must be at least 1 word long, and preferably not in excess of 10,000, it's short fiction you fuck).

A new era of Who always gets people excited and it's a great opportunity to get more new people to watch it and to reel back in those viewers who've stopped watching.
Chibnall seems to have some bold ideas, or at least that's what he's saying. But it's not just the quality of the show (though of course that's extremely important). An equal, vital part of getting DW back to where it was is publicity. The BBC need to spend a lot of money on publicity on a worldwide level, letting people know DW is back and it's different. Posters everywhere, Daleks wandering the streets of London, an intense and amazing trailer, fuck it, multiple trailers, airing closer and closer to the airdate. Maybe another world tour like Capaldi and Jenna did, where they went to Asia, Australia and America.

Shit you're right. He goes on a bit about being a "good man", but it's not a catchphrase or anything. That said, the only NuWho catchphrase that was good was Eccleston's "Fantastic!". "Allons-y" was just completely random, no idea why RTD came up with the idea of the Doctor basically saying "let's a-go" in French. The "sorry" thing was also really overused. We don't really get to see it depicted on-screen as such, but considering the Time War involved things like Neverweres and the Could've Been King, it's reasonable to assume that it was a war where the intricacies of time itself were weaponized by the Time Lords. Considering that there are at least four or five different wars, most if not all of which were foughtt by the Eighth Doctor and ended in the destruction of Gallifrey, between the various book series / audios / Scream of the Shalka / NuWho / etc., it's a serviceable interpretation to regard all of these as iterations of the same war that occurred because the Time Lords were abusing their power to retcon reality as a weapon in the Time War.

Yes, this requires you to acknowledge split timelines, but I can hardly see why this is anything a Doctor Who fan should be getting bent up over. You have to acknowledge that split timelines exist and history is in flux just to follow the TV show's story, without getting into any of the crazy questionable-canonicity EU stuff.

Speaking of new doctors, am I the only one who is mad about moffat fucking up the order of doctors while being showrunner? Everything was fine and okay til the war doctor came along which still would've worked. But then it was confirmed that Tennant's doctor was the doctor twice he just didn't change. Meaning that Capaldi's doctor isn't the 12th one but the 14th. I have not ever seen anyone touch on this subject and I feel like I'm in a minority for this being pissed about this.
