Also, I wouldn't have high hopes for minoxidil. If you read the studies carefully, what they qualify as "regrowth" includes minuscule and virtually unseeable, very thin hair. That is, the study that shows it regrows hair in 80% of men is quite misleading. As far as *noticeable* regrowth (and any "regrowth" that's not noticeable is obviously useless), minoxidil only might be successful in less than 5%-10% of cases.

The perfect candidate for fin is early 20s and just starting to lose hair, so you're doing the right thing.

Forgot to mention--get the generic 5mg finasteride, which is typically prescribed for enlarged prostrates. It's much much cheaper than Propecia, and is fine to use with a pill cutter by cutting it into fourths (doctors say it's fine to take 1.25mg a day rather than 1mg). The difference can be literally around $60+/month vs. $18/6-9 months. Way, way cheaper.
