Alan Wake is terrible. I was really hyped up to play it and pretty much built my first gaming PC for it, but it's a very short story, you have no freedom to explore and the gameplay is incredibly repetitive (there's a monster quick shine a flashlight on it, repeat until the end of the game). I managed to play the first one all the way through and gave up on the second after about 10 minutes because it was even worse.
