It was great, showing Diana getting out of the paradise Island to face the reality of another world, a big war and having to deal with many points like not being able to help everyone and that killing a scapegoat will not save the world feels pretty fresh for the standard kids movie, it throws a redpill that people are assholes and will keep fucking everything no matter how much "bad guys" you kill.

Humans invent atom bombs decades after ares stops influencing them according to this movie, yet the audience is supposed to believe that he's in the wrong for giving formulas to humans who would've killed each other any way. Also that whole "love will save the day" ending. Which is even stupider because this movie implied a happy ending yet forgets to mention that Diana goes into hiding for a hundred years after it. If you hadn't watched BvS this movie would give you the impression that she spent the entire hundred years between her fight with ares and now fighting crime on rooftops at night like Spiderman. Assuming BvS is still canon one can only assume Diana spent a hundred years looking for a picture which doesn't seem very heroic to me.
