Film adaptation when?
Hopefully they'll make it not boring
They're doing it. Leto is lead

Considering that the book is boring as shit that would be quite a feat.

cool cover
Eh, would rather see a film adaptation of this. Probably won't happen, though.
>brainlet reads a book
>he thinks he likes it but is unsure
>"GIB FILM"
Every time. Try reading more. You might learn something.
more relevant than ever

Lel I didn't even read the book, fag
It has to be a trilogy to get the full effect of the book

This would be so easily adaptable. Idk why it hasn't been dipped into yet.

Hopefully never. Very few Heinlein books aren't mystified libertine bullshit.

Even as a fan of Heinlein, this is one of the few books I wouldn't mind seeing ruined. It's a dump of raw newage but in the right hands it could be used to make a story examining personal autonomy and extraordinary ability from a mysterious origin. Something in the tradition of "Phenomenon" or "K-PAX," which were probably inspired by Stranger now that I think of it.

There's also some truth to these dubs. It'd probably be better than The Matrix trilogy.

Troopers and Mistress?
Heinlein even said that if you only read Stranger, Troopers, and Mistress, you'd understand the bulk of what he was trying to get at. Stranger is the most newagey but it's also like "Speaker for the Dead" in the sense that an encounter with alien intelligence could be just too weird for there to be any kind of social acceptance without extraordinary levels of thought.
