the one real problem with season 3 was that it was two "arcs" in one season because Fuller knew the show was getting cancelled. The Red Dragon arc was great though and I wish it got its own season.

I have mixed feelings about this.

Seems slow as fuck and the plot is redundant


I'm currently in the 2nd season but haven't watched it in like a year.

I didn't care for Hannibal's accent and I thought bringing in a psychologist who just happens to be a psychopath to treat and assist a criminal profiler who is chasing sociopaths seemed rather contrived. That might be poor reasons to not watch a show, but they are mind. Also, the first two episodes were rather dull.

the third well it depends on your taste but it's really chaotic and the change of visual style doesn't help

Best tv one could dream of. It's a a refreshing piece of surrealism and fantasy and not easily compared to other shows.
I wish I could erase it from memory just to be able to see it again for the first time.

Did they manage to do the Red Dragon arc

yeah, starts a few episodes into season 3 and it's great. Wish there was more time for it though, but I'm a sucker for slowest burn.

Absolutely beautiful cinematography.
Watching Hannibal fucking around with everyone is also very entertaining.
The dialog can be somewhat flowery at times. But the mood and the protagonists make it work out.
Definitely one of my all time favourites.

laurence fishburne is the weakest part of this series. he never felt right for that role to me.

otherwise it's a pretty good show that drops off in quality in season 3

Other than being a bit dense about the whole investigation, he was one of my faves. But I guess it comes down to preferences etc.
