Bojack is a dull show about unlikeable people that has a few genuine moments of emotional despair that cause meaningful personal reflection, in between the other 97 moments of emotional despair that cause empty personal reflection.

Rick and Morty is a show that constantly tips the scales between satisfying mindfuckery and jokes about buttholes, with catchphrases that are being printed on shot glasses as we speak sprinkled in between.

So would you rather have a show that peaks and valleys, or a show that's flat as a road aside from a few speed bumps?
