HC stands for hardcore. It means the movie is edited down to essential plot elements. So it's a version more suitable to modern audiences. All filler material is cast out. In this case it shows the wheat, some aliens, some people dying, the obligatory android saying something clever and the end credits at 10x speed.
It's a big time saver.
