It was excellent, exceeded my expectations. A genuinely good film with the timely resonance of the first, and the anno creature stuff was sublime. The very first film was mostly scientists and administrators talking too, anyway.

Interesting that even with the crazy fast editing it was hard to keep awake. I also did not care for any of the characters, every one was just one more bureaucratic monotone chess piece of the government with no background info. I guess I was suppose to watch this in a ironic way.

Its the only Godzilla movie aside from the original where the human scenes didn't want to make me fall asleep. The only thing I hate is the inconsistent CGI in some scenes. Godkino overall.
