How do you go from this....

are they both Jewish?

What the fuck were they thinking. You can't replace this guy's charisma and presence with some fucking nobody. Harrison Ford is Han Solo. The entire character's strength rested on Harrison being cool as fuck.
PART TIME-

just be grateful they didn't make him a nigger

Would it really have been worse than them choosing an ugly boring manlet because of its religion?
>>84486152
abysmal choice ffs
Harrison Ford has only ever been a heartthrob. He can't act for shit, he delivers lines like an autistic cowboy and Han Solo is the most boring archetypal "loveable rougue" ever. Ford is perfect for Han Solo because he is Han Solo, he doesn't act at all, he just inhabits his public persona on screen.
Alden Ehrenreich is one of the best actors of his generation, evidently none of you plebs have seen his performance in Hail Caesar. I hope he ruins the character for you and pisses off fanboys worldwide, because Solo is a boring character who needs to be completely reimagined.

such a missed opportunity

>Thank you for not completely sabotaging your shitty movie Disney shits
Why?

>not completely sabotaging your shitty movie Disney shits
instead they only half sabotaged it by sacking the directors when they were nearly done
>>84489255
His youtube impersonation isn't actually that good, and while he nailed Ford's voice and a couple of his mannerisms in AoA, he's not actually a very good actor for his own sake.
Also there's just no way Disney would cast someone who's already played young Harrison Ford in a major picture.

>Alden Ehrenreich is one of the best actors of his generation
>>84489255
stop posting this fucker he looks nothing like ford
he has the affectations down but thats it. disney only cares about first impressions, ehrenreich looks more like ford and when they adr his dialogue it will work, not that i care since i won't be seeing it either way.

>he doesn't act at all, he just inhabits his public persona on screen
Well many actors and actresses do that and don't succeed.
When it's possible to someone it means a lot. See old school actors, they didn't much effort into playing. John Wayne, Jean Gabin, Lino Ventura, even Max Von Sydow had personality and charisma and that alone can be enough. I think.
>>84489366
>ehrenreich looks more like ford
I know this is bait but kys
>>84488623
Harrison Ford was pretty much a nobody until Star Wars, he had done some acting, and been in a few films at that point in his career, but when he was chosen for the Han Solo role he had been working as a carpenter building sets.
>>84489314
>casting someone they "discovered" at a bar mitzvah
>at the last moment they find out he can't act and they have to hire a fucking acting coach for him
I'd rather take my chances with >>84489255 than >>84489238
>>84491306
He was cast in Hail Caesar after he was discovered at a Bar Mitzvah, which has already come out and won Oscars. He was cast in this because he's already famous from that.
