Middle aged and older people. They put it on because the cheap jokes illicit a reaction out of them and it's not so deep that they need to pay attention to a story. That's genuinely the only type of person I've ever seen watch it. Either their eyes gloss over and laugh occasionally, or they put it on in the background while they do something else.
