Who was he talking to?

(You)
God

Are you talking to me?

>It is the last line, "Well, I'm the only one here," that never gets quoted. It is the truest line in the film. Travis Bickle exists in "Taxi Driver" as a character with a desperate need to make some kind of contact somehow--to share or mimic the effortless social interaction he sees all around him, but does not participate in.

You talkin' to me?
what are you supposed to do if you're literally Travis incarnate?
>>84454593
I always talk to myself in the mirror. I am not from the Anglosphere so I have a shit accent and have a hard time forming sentences while talking, but I am good at imitating so I can deliver some lines I memorized quite well.
My favourite is to stare myself in the mirror and shout in an American accent "YOU ARE OUT OF LINE". I also like "we do not negotiate with terrorists", it sounds so presidential.

If this were to become /tv/'s next forced meme I wouldn't be totally opposed.

Cute
I find it kinda bizarre how this quote and scene became some kind of pop culture thing, because in the context of the film it's a relatively uneventful and subdued scene
>cant sleep
>isolated from society
>lonely
>want to make a difference
>start doing pushups and pullups
>on my twentieth pushup i fucking strain my shoulder or some shit
i broke down and cried because i couldnt even do pushups right lol
it hurts, bros
>>84457712
don't do pushups they're a terrible exercise that fuck up your tendons
>>84457733
what should i do then? dont just tell me one exercise is shit and not give me a good alternative like the fuck
>>84457758
Not him but pushups are decent. You have to build a solid base to do them if you haven't exercised in a while. Otherwise they can be too taxing on your body.
Refer to the jpg to see how you can progress safely.
>>84457733
Well you need to drop 10 bucks on those little pushup handles or make fists.
>>84457733
If you injure your tendons from your own bodyweight you are beyond saving. They are fine, and they are one of the most basic motions everyone should be able to do.
>>84457828
I go to the gym and am pretty strong
something to do with my proportions or something maybe but push ups always give me tendinitis. it's not the weight that's the problem
