Who was in the wrong here?

Why didn't he just... move out?
I mean he looked like he was pretty well off and had some very rich and influential family members, he could perhaps take a loan? live somewhere else in germany not filled with angry cuckolds who cant understand he didnt do shit?
>>84447947
that would be an admission of guilt in a way. why would you move away and leave all your life and best friends behind when there's still a chance of recovering your reputation? if he left everyone would have assumed he was guilty.

It's hard to feel bad for handsome people
>>84448026
So what if he's handsome? That doesn't make what happened any less tragic.
>>84447729
Literally everyone but him
>>84447983
He could leave once the matter was settled (like it did once it was proven all the kids were lying).
Even then, he will never recover his reputation. He will never be at peace with anybody. Even at the end, you can bet that to each one of their friends he is "THAT dude" who could be a pedophile.
shit
>>84448270
at the very least there would still be one guy who legitimately thinks he is a pedophile
that's what's shit about these accusations, even if you are cleared the mere fact that you were accused makes people doubt you regardless of what the outcome is

He could've actually molested that girl and everyone other than him would've been in the wrong.
>>84447729
Pretty much everyone but himself and the kid. I was actually molested as a 5 year old and I pretty much just agreed with whatever adults were telling me at the time ("do you think [abuser's name] should go to prison?" "yeah i guess lol can i go play video games now?") because I didn't understand anything. The girl even tried to confess several times but at that point the adults weren't willing to believe anything but what they wanted.

Society itself because of its hyperparanoia about males' sexual threat to anybody and everybody. It's essentially our gynocentricancerousociosphere in film form.

Well the adults were just trying to act out of fear for their children. Of course children at a young age are easily manipulated and overly emotional, but the town was just doing what they saw best. Personally, I blame Klara's brother who showed her the porn, but he couldn't know that she would fall in love with her teacher as a result.

I guess that's true, I've never had kids so it's hard to sympathize but I imagine a lot of parents go mad thinking of all the ways their kid can get messed up beyond repair. I think the worst offender was that one dude who asked her all the leading questions. I feel like people who work with kids should know better.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Surely he would have considered that the reason Klara wasn't talking is just because she was confused and uncomfortable, or made it up. I also thought it was strange that nobody could believe that a child would lie. That alone seemed like a plot device to ensure Lucas went through hell until the end of the movie.
