Regarding sexual violence and the sort of perversions of normal human sexuality that are alluded to in the alien films, this man is the expert.

What's this guy's name? He looks familiar.

1. David Cronenberg (with heavy reluctance because Riddles is the only one who can finish these kino prequels).
9999^9999. Neill Blomhack.
Denis Villeneuve
Have it use the "retro sci-fi" feel of Alien and Aliens, with all the old as fuck CRT monitors and stuff. It's part of what makes Alien: Isolation so great.
Might rethink this if Blade Runner 2049 is shit, his track record is very good so far though

Joseph Kosinski

Michael Bay

They weren't being retro then. They were being nowtro.
Myself ideally but otherwise James Cameron

True but it's a very noticeable and distinctive thing when you watch them now, like there would have to be some sort of alternate history for future tech to look like that, yet it's still a believable and tangible sci-fi setting.
Same applies to Blade Runner in some ways, obviously our real 2019 isn't going to look like that, and I'm interested to see how Denis handles a sequel that considers the original to be canon

>So, who is it?
There will be no brakes on this train.
Jacques Audiard OR Wes Anderson. I'm sure both would be 100 times more interesting than the tepid drivel we got served lately.

the greatest mistake alien franchise did was giving a chance to James Cameron.
Why? Because James Cameron made a good sequel. Some people consider the movie to be better than original. It gave franchise a chance. One good movie is nothing special, but two good films?
If that never happened, alien franchise would have flopped with the second film and we would never got any of the sequels.
Alien is no different than friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween. "Maybe this one will be good". No. Just shut the fuck up. Alien is just a slasher in space.
