Why the fuck can't I enjoy the new season? I watch it and find it interesting but it doesn't really engage me for reasons I unbeknown to me. If I had one complaint with the new season, its that secondary characters are spread too thin. The good thing about having a single main setting like twin peaks was that when you needed a non important character to fill out the plot you could just stick Dr Jacoby or Big Ed and they'd fill things out, but with the setting being all over the place you have a lot of minor characters who are just there for a one-off scene and then vanish. These characters are still interesting but there's little invested in them. For instanfe, Ike the Spike shows up for 3 scenes, and will never be heard of again, but he's a fucking midget with an ice pick. I want to see him again dammit.

yeah, great episode. I loved seeing Riker and Troi disguised as one of them.
I can recall three other Twin Peaks cast members (at least the more prominent ones) being in Star Trek as well. Richard Beymer aka Ben was in DS9's season 2 playing a Bajoran named Li Nalas aka one of the only Bajorans we ever see who isn't a cunt. Carel Struycken aka the Giant played Lwaxana Troi's servant mr Homn. And Madchen Amick was in TNG's season 2 in a shitty episode for far too little time basically playing Wesley's love interest. At least these are the three other I remember.
