They did an excellent job on the CGI without a doubt. I wasn't a fan of the skull monsters, but I guess they thought dinosaurs would have been too cheesy. It's just hard to do a good movie when it's pretty much been done before 10 times.

The moral is that Kong is gonna get his ass kicked by Godzilla

I really liked the Bamboo Spider,
That thing was great.

I also liked they changed the setting to Vietnam,
I just wish they were allowed to go a bit more art house with it, and get it a bit more psychedelic, a bit more crazy, a bit more experimental, I am kong and kong is me man.
It was a really great time to set a movie like this

It was basically a tolerable version of Pacific Rim. Giant shit fighting and good cgi but with decent actors.

That movies can still be fun.

Personally I found the scenes really awesome. The action itself wasn't anything special, but the way it was shot was phenomenal.
