I remember watching it as a kid back when it was on MTV and thinking it was really cool. Rewatched it a few years ago, the style and animation is really interesting but the overall show is really bad.

Fun Fact. Peter Chung the creator of Flux worked on Rugrats and codesigned the characters for the cartoon. When he got his own show he wanted to do the complete opposite of Rugrats, instead of pudgy short people he made his characters ridiculously tall and skinny.

I disagree OP. Aeon Flux is awesome. Gnostic sci-fi. A totalitarian vs a libertine banging each other almost as much as they fight. Kinky sex. A bizzarely catchy soundtrack.

If I remember correctly the 90s were EXACTLY like the 2010's, and litrially all of MTVs oddities play exactly the same timeslots still.

The concept shorts are good, imo.

anon said, it's gnostic animation. Think of the characters as embodiments of different philosophical ideologies and everything will make sense. At least in the episodes with dialogue.
