While none of the Marvel movies are Stanley Kubrick movies, they can hardly be called brainless, as there are, for the most part, a lot of serious themes. So yes, they can be enjoyed just for the explosions and action, but look under that surface and you’ll usually find 3 dimensional characters and serious themes.
Do yourself a favor if you ever watch a Marvel movie again. Instead of just saying what random people on the internet are going on about. Try to spot the themes underlying the movies. You’ll be doing yourself a favor as a lot of movies just get better during such an exercise.
