But yeah, GotG2 was awesome. I thought the first one was fine enough but GotG2 is one of those rare sequels that actually outdoes the original.

I honestly don't get it. It felt a lot more obnoxious than GOTG 1. Too many quips, too much "forced" heart.

I was more stunned at how insane this movie was, scene after scene some crazy shit was happening that I didn't believe actually made it through Disney's shit.

Either way, this year has been a pretty miraculous one for capeshit. DC finally came out with a good film, Marvel finally had one that wasn't bland and forgettable and barely passionate, and FOX came out with the saving grace of the entire modern capeshit sphere.

I loved it more than the first one, and yeah, it was pretty dark at times. Also the ending was very nice, heartfelt finally. I'd put it now very high in my MCU ranking, but I am waiting to watch it again on blu-ray.

I like marvel films for what they are, which is mindless formulaic spectacle with maybe some good acting here and there if the character is interesting enough (late stark, strange, maybe cap in regards to Bucky). I consider Winter Soldier and the first Guardians to be the only "good" marvel films partly because they more or less step outside this formula, though I still enjoy the others as well.

all that being said, don't watch gotg 2 it's trash. extreme case of The Hangover - exact same film, nowhere near as good the second time around.
