Is it scary?
is that the one with that cave scene?
because if it is, then give it a shot
>>84350456
What cave scene? I still haven't watched it, I just finished marathoning Final Destination and it was kind of shit and my friend told me about this so I'm asking /tv/.
It has its moments.
>>84350498
The old woman swallows a girl whole because possession. Has a 'bad end' so if that's your thing go for it. I'd say avoid it. Plenty other movies better you could waste your time on.
>>84350608
That's the scariest part of the movie?
Any other suggestions?
>>84350404
is this the prequel to Logan?
>>84350498
this one
>>84350674
What the fuck that's nasty.
>>84350630
>Any other suggestions?
I don't know what you think is scary, and I assume you haven't become desensitized to jump-scares yet, so give The Lady in Black a shot. It has Daniel Radcliffe but his stiff acting works pretty well in this
>>84350404
Do any modern horror movie amount to anything more than a couple spooky gifs?
>>84350736
Plenty but >>84350701
>you... become desensitized
>>84350674
Well now you spoiled it.
>>84350763
Sure, but not even talking about that. Characters, setpieces, lore; none stick to you anymore. Everything is part of the same bluish blob of color-graded, noisy blandness
>>84350782
It's the only reason to watch the movie and it only cost you 3 seconds.
One of the worst movies i've seen last year
>>84350795
True man. I judge most horrors these days solely on how unpredictable yet coherent the plot is.
If I ever get through half an hour without guessing some cliched plot twist about to happen it'll be the end of the world
What are horror kino /tv/
>>84350872
It Follows
The VVitch
Babadook

>>84350872
Occult
>>84350967
literally can't go into deep water because of it, that's the most any movie has affected me
>>84350404
Some eerie moments, though they should have played with the alzheimer element more, would have been even creepier.
Still, I thought it was really good.
>>84351023
Why though? Just watch any doco on Great Whites and you'll see reality is much more terrifying than Jaws
>>84351036
well yeah of course reality is scarier than any horror movie
but as far as horror movies go jaws is fantastic
great acting as well, which is something you don't see in the genre that often, it's worth watching for quint's story alone
>>84350674
gettin blair witch vibes. so does she eat her or what? ruined the movie for me give me the quick run down at least.
>>84351105
Can't disagree there anon.
If anon likes atmosphere, he should give Bone Tomahawk a watch.
>>84351113
>Deborah succeeds in abducting Cara and taking her to the location where Desjardins had killed all of his previous victims. After discovering Deborah has gone into the mines, Sheriff Tweed follows behind, only to be killed moments later. After hearing Tweed's attack Sarah and Mia follow behind, only to find Deborah just as she's trying to eat Cara's head in a snake-like manner. They finally manage to burn Desjardins' corpse. The film then cuts to news footage of reporters stating that Deborah was deemed unfit to stand trial for the crimes she committed during her abduction of Cara. An additional news story shows that Cara has overcome her cancer and is celebrating her birthday. As the reporter begins to wrap up the story, Cara turns to the camera and gives a creepy smile, hinting that Desjardins' ritual was completed and that he is now in control of her body.
Wiki is a wonderful thing.

Sometimes it's not the jumpscare or the monster but the concept, the theme, the emotions of the characters that become unnerving. Watch:
>come and see
>I saw the devil
>pulse (2001)
>shutter
>Threads
>angst
>>84350872

>>84353229
A thriller, I'd say.
>>84350404
I thought it was The Talking of Deborah Logan and I was gonna say, women talking? Hell yeah, that's frightening as fuck.
>>84352107
I'm not going to watch your shitty movie. How does it end? Thanks.
>>84352107
Legit one of the best horror movies of the last 10 years.
Rewards multiple viewings too, lots of hidden stuff.
