Current year cucks didn't get what they wanted with Hillary, so they'll have to settle with a television fantasy instead. That's why.

They were so heavy with plot armor it got quite stale after season 3 for ME. Frank was probably the best bet for a lead, since he was the most vulnerable character between the two. Having Claire be the lead will be dumb. Unless they change her character motives a lot moreso in the later seasons.

So now Frank is becoming more arrogant and Claire is being set up as the "good guy" to defeat him.

The issue I'm having is that with Frank you know exactly who you're dealing when watching the show but with Claire they swerve in writing making her anything from a master schemer to a full-blown autist incapable of any independent thought.

She literally murdered a person while fucking him and had her adviser clean up the mess.

On top of that she's horrifically unsuited for her job and her personally rivalry with not-Putin will likely lead to WW3 sooner or later.

Also her two remaining political advisers, the VP guy and that shady lobbyist spaz woman are obviously playing her like a fiddle and those two are literally the only political connections she has in Washington.
She has no other political capital to speak of.

The whole thing is supposed to mimic Rome's fall from Republic to Empire with the rulers getting progressively more corrupt and "elected" with dubious means with the transfer of power being based on personal connections rather than any popular vote.
