A good movie if you have a bias for DC characters. I'd been waiting to see Supes, Batman and WW on screen together since Marvel started cramming their shit into movies and I enjoyed it. The Batman parts are especially enjoyable and Ben Affleck did a good job as him.

BvS gets a bad rep and it certainly has a lot of flaws but I enjoyed it regardless and I'll stand by that opinion.

If you're a pure DC fanboy, it's the best movie ever made and Snyder is a visionary.

The 3 hour cut is actually really good though.Visually its beautiful, great score and acting is solid throughout (Affleck is pretty much great) and it actually feels like a movie and not just another superhero flick.
Its pretty much a deconstruction of the genre and he heroes themselves so if you like the characters how they are traditionally portrayed then this may not be for you.

They do try to cram way too much content into this movie though, it should have been split into two. 'The Dark Knight Returns' ending with the Batman and superman fight resolution + The Dawn of Justice would have made perfect sense imo.

Either way I doubt we will ever seen a superhero movie like this again, it feels like WB just told Snyder what needed to be included (in terms of setting up the justice league) and just let him do his thing.

One of the best movies in the genre and probably the most artistic super hero flick ever made.

It really does suck...but it's worth the pain to see the Batman warehouse fight scene. It's THAT good. Oh, and to see what Batman uses his vehicle to do to one of the villains' cars. It's the most fucking insane thing I've ever seen in a supes movie.

I liked MoS with all it's flaws and LOVED BvS, but SS and WW were just generic capeshit. DCEU was a mistake. A Snyder Trilogy alone would have been perfection.

I have faith in Whedon to make JL fit with MoS and BvS as he finishes it. We're talking about a guy who had too much integrity for the Mouse and is looking to make something different from the Marvel movies he's made. He'll go full Dark Snyder on us and won't bow down to the execs who will, no doubt, ask for quips, token romance and light humor SS/WW style.

Must be why I found it decent considering I've only watched the ultimate edition (3 hour cut). To be fair, there were definitely a few shots that could've been left out but overall it worked pretty well together.

Though I can easily see the shorter theatrical version being a hot mess as I can't see over 20 minutes being removed from the 3 hour cut without it losing some important scenes. Especially the first hour which in all honesty I thought was one of the stronger parts of the movie.

A hyper-stylized movie that subverts the typical comic book movie expectations by having characters' motivations be based on their own inner demons and moral/philosophical hangup and extremely blunt imagery and dialogue explaining every step of the way but was still too "convoluted" for millenial fanboys and climaxes with a sort of bloated but interesting fight.
