You couldn't do a 1 to 1 recast with a new Burt Reynolds and so on, you'd need to pick from the current stable of popular actors and build a new ensemble with new dynamics based on their strengths.

Off the top of my head you could try Ryan Reynolds, Jonah Hill, some of the better known SNL people, if you can afford it Ryan Gosling and/or Jeff Bridges.

Those old movies would also often have people who did stuff from outside the goofball comedy genre to vary the tone, I'm thinking maybe a Jason Statham would be good for that.

Throw in a pair of hot chicks like they did for OP's pic and you got yourself a movie.

Well that's the thing, you can't recreate it because it all came from the cast, so you need to find a new tone. Get a short list of established actors who can do comedy and try to get the chemistry right.
