Explain to me why /tv/ uses synonyms that share one meaning to describe the quality of video.
>share one meaning
Nice try pleb
>>84240090
a shopped image doesn't mean shit
>>84240169
Nothing is shopped about this, just accept that you're BTFO
>>84240210
That image beats me the fuck out in a similar manner to a gentle breeze on a warm summer day.
>>84240312
>beats me the fuck out
How new are you, lad?
>>84240346
I'm as new as you.
>>84240076
You never learned about connotation in school did you?
>>84240076
Dont forget Kino
>>84240950
They all connote the same thing.
>>84242365
Maybe only cinema and film have a similar connotation.
>I didn't go to film school, I went to flicks.
>>84242433
So does movie and flick.
>>84240312
Wtf
>>84240090
Why is it missing "Bewegtbild" ?
>>84242701
Flicks are always low level garbage versus art house trash that are usually referred to as cinema or film.
>>84242810
Flicks, cinema, film, and movies are the same thing.
>>84242890
You can keep pushing that angle but when others use them differently you might get lost in future discussions.
>>84242890
t. pleb
>>84240076
This bothered me for a while, but to be entirely fair, I have seen film critics use "flick" to describe lower quality, pulpy films. So I can't fault /tv/ for using it in the same way.
There is, however, no difference between film and movie. Thankfully nobody is dumb enough to try and correct me when I try to use the two interchangeably
>>84240090
And this image is just some autism nobody cares about.
>>84242930
I have seen people use different terms for the same movie.
If /tv/ is being ironic it has gotten so ironic that it has become unironic.
>>84242890
>>84243961
Motion pictures can only be kino when they evolve from entertainment into art. Thus far it shows no signs of growing up.
>>84243961
Kino is German for cinema.
what is y'all favorite movie/flick/kino/l'cinema?
>>84240076
Gay, homosexual, queer, faggot and poofta essentially mean the same thing, but are used in completely different situations.
I'm pretty sure you wouldn't call your favorite film a "flick" ever.
>>84244438
The Horse in Motion by Eadweard Muybridge
>>84244490
>I'm pretty sure you wouldn't call your favorite film a "flick" ever.
I do.
>>84240076
>Morons start assigning artifical definitions to words that previously all meant the same thing
>Smarter people make up the "kino" meme to make fun of them
>Morons stop for a while, then start again, this time using kino unironically
>>84244438
Exotica
>>84240076
>no kino
Pleb. Especially because The Shining is definitely pure kino and not a movie.
>>84244640
It's whatever you want it to be.
>>84244589
>gender is what you want to be
>sex is what you're born as
What is top left? Looks pretentious desu lad.
>>84244721
Not until the Device is completed
>>84244728
Winter Light, it's really good, one of my all time favourites and one of Bergman's highpoints
was it kino?
