I feel the same way. Every time I'm about to dismiss Nolan as a hack, I remember that he made Memento and The Prestige.

M. Night Shyamalan. The bigger his budget, the shittier the movie.
I'm glad he understands that now and is making low budget indie shit that sucks less and actually makes him money.
