Kind of hate how /x/ hijacked "skinwalker" and "wendigo" as catch all terms for pretty much any spooky innawoods greentext creatures when in reality they are both specific Indian legends.

"Skinwalkers" refers to the Native American legends that talk about shamans capable of transforming into animals by wearing their pelt, or skin.

"Wendigo" refers to Native American legends about a demonic spirit that possesses those who engage in cannibalism.
