Although not perfect, still one of best mummy movies. Not as clunky as Hammer Films but lascks campy fun of Sommers adventures or original 1932 aura. 7/10 from me. Not fan of Tom Cruise, just liked movie. Oldschool effects and props instead of greenscreen CGI fest is something i always welcome.

Just can't understand why last "MadMax", which offered nothing more than pure visuals, was glorified by critics, while "Mummy", that is pretty much ofering only visuals, is panned.

Movie is actually beautiful to watch. Turn brain off, and open eyes wide. Stunning scenography, sets and details. Combined with great action and stunts. You don't see these so often anymore, specially when mostly nowdays blockbusters are CGI fest shot on greenscreen.

Literally, scene when they see the tomb is breathtaking. Not in pulp-style cheesy thing we seen previously. Also London catacombs and chuch is amazing. Played or know Uncharted? This is pretty much like it.

The whole premise of the Mummy movies is that you can't permanently kill the mummy. All somebody has to do is read a few sentences from the Book of the Dead or whatever, and she'll come back to life again.

In ending, she fullfils her deal, meaning either: 1) she isn't immortal anymore, 2) she is immortal, coz deal was permanent - just sucked out of life.
