Pretty enjoyable experience for the most part.

Good action, good cinematography, focused plot, good performances from the leads (great chemistry between them), humor that works and doesn't feel forced, memorable sequences (No Man's Land, amazons vs soldiers, Trevor's final flight), decent score...

Also, as a much appreciated bonus: It's NOT a SJW cringefest. I didn't get the muh stronk womyn vibe here. Nobody dared to talk about "male privilege" while men were being slaughtered in the front lines of the Great War. On the contrary, Diana felt sad and showed compassion. She's a very likeable character.

On the downside: some bad CGI and mediocre villains.

It's almost a carbon copy of Marvel's phase 1 films in that regard, barring the lead also being flat. She can't act. But she did look good in the action sequences. Best scene: the trench/no man's land/village assault - it shone here, pity the rest of the film couldn't match it.

Patty Jenkins deserves all the kudos for taking over a failing atypical DC/WB production and making something from it but it still has a lot of flaws. Marvel overcame their phase 1 problems so hopefully DC/WB can do the same, and finally give their fans something to genuinely cheer about as opposed to having to glorify individual moments in MoS/BvS as 'kino'.

Just got back from watching this movie.

Pretty fun movie, considering how I've disliked some of the fresh tomato capeshit I've seen, at least this one is a good movie.

It was OK, I expected a lot of feminism bullshit but amazingly they avoided all that shit and I applaud them for doing that.

Movie felt a bit long for me. All the cutesy fish out of water humour felt like it went on for too long and didn't really match the grimdank feel of the movie. Action scenes were good until the final fight at the end which was like some anime shit. 6/10

Worldwide was $600M as of yesterday. Premieres today in some countries (mine included).

Nothing special. Certainly doesn't deserve all of the praise it's been getting. Can't stand up against against any of the Wave 2/Wave 3 Marvel films. Reminds me of the Wave 1 films and beyond Iron Man those were pretty weak. Gadot is still a weak lead. Pine carried the film. I think everyone agrees that the third act could have used some revision.

I also believe that this movie is only as praised as it is because Snyder's vision in BvS and MoS turned down alot of people's hype. Must be why Suicide Squad, despite being complete garbage, did so good. It did the bare minimum to not be like the two films that came before it but somehow that turns it into a 10/10 raunchy summer flick when in reality it's a subpar movie experience. The same goes for this film. But because it's a chick people are going to go crazy for it.

6/10. Lots of room for improvement. If you swapped Gadot it'd honestly bump it up a notch.

I think people should stop sucking Patty Jenkin's cunt for directing the film. Warner Bros initiated reshoots and modifying the script to turn it into what it is. All she did was nod her head and transfer it to the screen. It isn't like she somehow gamed the system and became a master authority in cinema that could evade whatever the jews at WB were telling her to do to transfer her vision to millions. She didn't do anything out of the ordinary. She didn't go far left or far right like Snyder would've done. She just directed a movie.
