>comedy
>one of the world's most brilliant political scientists (allegedly) wakes up after a 2-3 year coma
>he wakes up at the day of Trump's inauguration, watches it in horror
>learns about Brexit, the alt-right, all the major shifts in international politics
>he doesn't understand shit
>he tries to run for some public office against a pervert (a character inspired by Anthony Weiner), gains some ground
>then, because he doesn't understand any of the mistakes the Democrats made or the new political landscape (he is an independent leaning more towards democrats than republicans), he shits the bed
>hilarity ensues

It's supposed to be some sort of meta-commentary about how useless poltical scientists, polls, journalists etc. has proven to be the last few years, but it's not supposed to be in blatant support or opposition to anything
