wow it just finally occurred to me that they have the same football head.

I was old enough to appreciate how they didn't go too cliche with it. He admires Ruth from afar and then when he finally actually talks to her, she's just vapid and lame and he instantly loses his attraction.

His attraction to Lila was a little more cliche.
