I think the whole image thing was to make the angels more abstract beings. With their image being their power it's how they project themselves into this world, the image of a stone statue or otherwise. What did /who/ think of Matt and his time as the Doctor in general?

I really loved his first season a lot and while his second was also fun for me it just didn't compare. His last one was a disappointment but Matt and Clara made it worthwhile.

Not sure what you guys thought about Amy and Rory but I enjoyed them greatly. Same thing with Clara but she's definitely better in Capaldi's run because more time to grow.

The best part about Matt's run for me was the first season, specials and River Song.

females who currently watch doctor who are outliers in the viewing market and are not the same as the female viewing market that they refer to when they use that phrase. sci-fi shows like smallville already have female viewers (female sci-fi fans do exist) but networks always want to catch the general (and larger) female viewing market so they adjust the storylines to capture that market (post season 2 smallville started having more lana-lex-clark stories).

At the time I actually thought s6 was stronger than s5, but that's probably on the strength of Matt's performance, which improved over time.

Matt was terrific, he absolutely nailed the "old mind in a young body" thing, and the physicality of his performance was just top notch.

S5 had some terrific stores, S6 had some terrific stories, S7 was a bit of a hodgepodge, and the specials I enjoyed.

2. However, don’t worry – – there are more surprises in store for you! The BBC-mandated list of things I’m not even allowed to tease includes at least four secrets that have yet to be revealed.
3. Five, if you count the pre-title teaser, which is so epic, they removed it from the preview screeners they send to critics. The last time they removed a scene from a screener was in Series 8, when Missy was revealed as the Master.
4. I am not surprised by what I am forbidden to discuss. I am shocked by what I am still allowed to tease. For example: we discover the Doctor’s real name.
