It's a trick.
He walks on broken glass, which if you know even the slightest bit about stage magic, isn't really that big of a deal. You could do it on your first try if somebody showed you how. And considering the rest of the trick, it's probably sugar glass.

The main trick is nothing but a put on.
There's a carpet on the ground that he lays on. Under that carpet there's an indentation deep enough for his body to be pressed into by the roller. Since the roller is wider than the hole, it stays level while it looks like he's getting crushed. He's actually below ground level under the roller.

To top it off, there's barriers around the base of the roller to "prevent debris from possibly flying out from under it". They're there strictly to hide the trick better.
