Regardless; Who even cares? Everything about this movie looked like shit, from the director(s) to of course Kathleen "Kill Me in my Stupid Fucking Rat Face" Kennedy. Kasdan is Disney's drone, Han was miscast, and nothing about the production felt inspired. They'll probably hire goddamn Michael Gucciano or whatever his name is to do the score.

Dong Lover is unironically the only good part of this movie. Whole thing should just be re-spun as a Lando solo film. Han and Harrison were too iconic, and Lando barely got to do shit in the OT.

I thought the prequels didn't feel right aesthetically because the world was too shiny and clean...even the Tatooine of Ep 1.

I was happy with the direction Rogue One went in the SW universe. Back to it's roots of a worn-out transistor-age universe...kind like the 50s of Lucas's early years, but in a space desert world, with a smattering of Theosophy and ESP.

Man, Disney has killed Star Wars for me. I grew up watching the OT several times throughout my childhood and watched the Prequels as they came out, for better or worse. Regardless of quality, I love each movie because they are the SWU, something I've known my entire life.

Since Disney has been pimping out terrible fan-fic and rip-offs with a shiny label, I actually have even fewer people to talk about Lucas' SW now with all of these new "fans" popping out of nowhere.

It's like having a childhood best friend who separated ways when you both went to college. When you hear about him from his new friends about how great he is, nostalgia kicks in and you go check in on him, only to find out he's become a "progressive" nu-male that is a shadow of his former self.

His new friends are a terrible influence, egging him on into new lows with his best years behind him. The only one who hasn't forgotten the version of your best friend who had aspirations and would apologize for a minor argument by giving you some of his prized Pokémon cards and play against you later is you. All you want is your best friend back, not this new guy with the same name.
