We can admit Moonlight was actually pretty bad, right?

There is no /tv/ hivemind, if you don't like it that's YOUR opinion, don't make it sound like there's some gigantic /tv/ entity.
Coward.

It was obvious oscar bait. The story itself was par for the course. Not bad, but pretty goddamn common today.

My opinion was always that I didn't like it, but that's because it was bad
There def was resistance to admitting this when it was about to win an Oscar for obvious reasons, but now that it's June it shouldn't be controversial to say that yea it sucked
Meh it was pretty gay

I liked it quite a bit. It fell into a lot of the same "what if we just didn't have a story" traps as recent films produced by indie-lite studios, but the acting was all pretty top-notch and it worked as a sort of cinematic tone poem, albeit one that probably went on 20 minutes too long.
It still didn't deserve best picture, but then again that's true of 90% of best picture winners.

One of the best two films to be nominated, the other being Hell or High Water. Was beautifully simplistic storytelling.

LOL
Manchester by the Sea > Hacksaw Ridge > Hell or High Water > Fences > Arrival > La La Land > Moonlight > Lion
