Most of the population is in the UTC +3 and UTC +5. Add to that Eastern European slav countries, and what you get is that the majority of slavs live in UTC +2 to UTC +5 time zones. So the statement that the last thread, which had next to no poo jokes and RTDfags was nighttime for the majority of slavs still holds true.

It's much scarier because 'scary' in midnight comes mostly from people and not from fantastic concept. There are retarded hysterical people who can throw you out in the real world, but there's nothing remotely resembling Weeping Angels, even though it's clever and cool concept.

There's just one anon who spams it, I'm sure. I just want to say that there we multiple occasions when Capaldi or Matt were spammed there. Or even some obscure shit like that new meme Cats is trying to force.
I feel that it's unfair that you are trying to say that it's essential for RTD supporters only. And it doesn't have anything to do with the slavs unless you prove me wrong with really facts and not 'They woke up! It's them~!'

I made observations, and noticed that the quality of new episodes directly depends on how often I masturbate on Clara during the week. If every day several times, then the episode is bad, if it is rare, then the episode is good.

I liked it better the second time, cause at first I was furious that the Time Lords, Gallifrey and Confession Dial were playing the second fiddle to the Doctor missing the super special Clara. And I was glad she was killed off.

But it's good story.

I fear that this finale would be like this. The Master, Missy, Mondasian Cybermen. And it will be about how Nardole is nice.

People raging over spare parts being overwritten, when are you freaks gonna get it? Big Finish is crap and is not canon, they are literally just radio plays that most people don't know about they are irrelevant. The only purpose they serve is to give writers of the actual show some flavour material.
>>
I don't think RTD an Moffatt should be compared on episodes alone. I think a series comparrison would be a better choice as you get a better picture that way. especially as how both writers series differ.

I feel that RTD was able to have single episode stories which were completely self contained with maybe some subtle references to an overarching theme whereas moffat would try to have a more prominent overarching theme in his series but struggles when it somes to making stand alone episodes whilst trying to link them to the series as a whole.

It's still over-rated. It drags a lot, as a mystery it relies too much on breaking its own rules and plot contrivances, none of the Doctor's confessions are particularly interesting, the mind TARDIS is the same shit as Sherlock's mind palace, aaaaaaand that lolsorandumb shit with the doors was really tiresome and cringeworthy.

As a metaphor for grief and an exploration of the concept of infinity it still gets two big thumbs-up, and I also don't like Moffat's stuff. The Doctor has a line that's something like "it's not the day they die, it's all the days they stay dead" and I thought that was a recognisable human experience, well articulated. Moffat's kind of like the Adam Sandler of Doctor Who. If something compels him to try, he can produce earth-shattering work, but most of the time he defaults to lowest common denominator trash "comedy"mind edgy smut.

tonight was the first episode, it's business as usual
and it's still about australian politics with minimal trump shit too thankfully
>>
So, final list.

1) Farm concept. People sit in their rooms, and when they try to escape, they are sent back in time, am I getting this correct? What if they don't escape and just sit there? Is this really superior to the usual hunting? How do people feed etc? Okay, most if it isnt really important, but still kind of bothers me.
2) How do people ignore statue of liberty? I know, shot of statue is very cool, but it makes about zero sense.
3) Why is New York special time place? And how it ties with Daleks in Manhattan?
4) Why can't Amy and Rory just move into different place, which is not time blocked?

Overall it has cool parts and River is surprisingly less annoying than I remember her to be. The ending part with the last page is sweet too but I just can't enjoy it after all as much as I could.

>all that important shit going on entirely in the background in Series 7
>the Doctor has been removing himself from every database in the universe which is only shown ONCE (1x) when he makes the Daleks forget about him in Asylum
>the only other time this extremely important plot point is mentioned is when River talks about it offhandedly in another episode
>we never actually SEE the Doctor doing this aside from Asylum; it's only told, not shown
>Doctor ages 200 years off-screen (only acknowledged when he starts giving his age as 1103 which only the uber nerd permavirgins will even understand), and another 900 on Trenzalore
>1100 years - literally *over half* of the Doctor's cumulative life spanning all his incarnations - over a millennium of plot and character development, happens offscreen

If this isn't hack writing, I don't know what is. I will never not be mad that Moffatt bungled such an ambitious and potentially interesting storyline by writing it so incompetently.

I will always maintain that RTD is the better of the two at coming up with overarching storylines for series even though Moffatt is clearly better at writing individual episodes.

Hence why it's shortsighted to judge a showrunner's ability solely on the quality of the episodes he wrote when the actual job of, you know, running the show is much more nuanced.

So is it unstable only in that year or 'period' or something? Can't they wait a couple of years and then be picked up by the Doctor?

By the way, what's the deal with babies and statue of Liberty? Where are they from? Are they original angels? Or they are, like, statues which were turned into angels by other angels? Did he just leave it as it is? Oh, River, I'm too sad to get rid of babies who want to feed off time energy of people, let them live.

I understand. There are things I can believe without asking, for example, humans and 21 century human guns are used in the year 150 trillion. There's like one line establishing it in Utopia "in the end people degenerate to the beginning". And that's fine by me. I don't usually visit year 150 trillion.

But in this case, it's too hard to believe. I know that New York never sleeps, so that statue of liberty could never move unnoticed. He could at least try with something like 'WOW I just remembered that angels can slow down time or turn invisible'. That's new ability out of nowhere, but at least that's ESTABLISHING THE RULES.
Angels take Manhattan doesn't give any rules at all, so believing anything is very hard.

Doctor Who as we know it is just a legend, a story passed down from person to person, similar to the Red Book of Westmarch in LOTR or the Journal of the Whills in Star Wars. Everything we know about the Doctor Who universe was a fanciful story told by the Eleventh Doctor to Handles during his time on Trenzalore. The story was later extracted from Handles' mind which is how we have it today.

All of the inconsistencies (time travel rules, whether or not Skaro was destroyed, whether the Eighth Doctor novels or audios are canon, extremely dubious / non-canonicity of shit like the Cushing films and the extremely old comics where the First Doctor's grandchildren are John and Gillian) can be explained away by the telephone game or by Eleven making shit up when he got senile

Point taken, but wouldn't the same line of thought apply to Beevers's and Ainley's Masters as well?

They may not be different people in the same way that Time Lord regeneration usually works, mechanically, but they're still different characters inasmuch as they're different incarnations of the same character as interpreted by different actors.

Maybe getting a new personality whenever you get a new lease on life (whether it's through regeneration or bodyjacking) is just a Time Lord quirk.

Apparently not since it appears in Asylum of the Daleks and The Magician's Apprentice. How it became undestroyed is a story left for Big Finish.

>How does Davros tie with the original "The Daleks" story?
Daleks shoot and mortally wound Davros in Genesis. The explosion stops the Daleks leaving their city so they're trapped there for a few hundred years leading to the First Doctor arriving. Davros wakes up when the Fourth Doctor returns in Destiny.

>What was the point of existance of River Song, if the astronaut suit is basically autopiloting itself?
Perhaps to stop the Doctor trying anything. He won't defend himself if he sees its River Song shooting him.

>How did people fill 6 months of Monks' government? I'm not buying 'they were filming something Xdd'
This one I can't answer.

>What's the state of Gallifrey? It's not time locked, right? What's difference between being time locked and time frozen?
Apparently at the end of time - which begs the question why don't the Daleks just travel there and kill them?

Dude, a female doctor will never happen.

Yeah of course not.

>Apparently at the end of time - which begs the question why don't the Daleks just travel there and kill them?
No-one apart from The Doctor, Missy, Ashildr and Clara know it's there, and onne of them have any interest in having the Time Lords killed so they keep schtum. In fact I think they're the only ones not at the end of time who know Gallifrey survived at all.

Have you watched the show yourself? In fact no answers are given. Why did Clara go to Gallifrey in the end of Listen? How is that possible isn't it timelocked? That's only a beginning, but you are failing to answer even at this point.

Do any of you fuckers actually buy these? I would love to support BF, but I can't justify spending this much for an ear play I would listen to maybe twice max. All the audios I've listened to were pirated.

I'm thinking of buying the war master stories

Why was Toby Haynes never brought back to direct more? When his episodes were genuinely the best the show has ever looked.

Because the writers don't seem to care.

I used to be subscribed to the main range and companion chronicles range. I stopped subscribing to the main range when the quality dipped and when the companion chronicles ended.

Nowadays, I only buy boxsets that I'm interested in like the Eighth Doctor, War Doctor or Tenth Doctor.

And of course I'll buy the War Master.

He also directed the kino that was Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell.

How did Davros survive Journey's End?
Who did the creepy voice about Silence in Pandorica Opens?
Why was Madame Covarian such a shit and undeveloped villain?
What's the idea behind making cybermen flying / almighty robots in Nightmare in Silver? Couldn't they come up with better villains for that role?
Why do army forces don't always agree with the Doctor in Pyramid in the end of the World if he's the president of the world?
Subjective question: do you like Doctor being the president both of the Earth and Gallifrey at some point?
>>
>>84145741
>How is that possible isn't it timelocked?
Gallifrey itself isn't timelocked. The event of the Time War is time locked.
>>
>>84145889
I buy some but usually only ranges that focus on the Doctor. The only spinoff I buy is Bernice Summerfield and I'll definitely buy the War Master set.

"What's most amazing are the similarities with our own culture. But that can be horrible, because we find lots of weapons, and it just makes you think, my God, everything wages war. It's not just a trait of ours, but a trait of existence. It makes you feel so hopeless. But then there are times. We found this thing, it was about A4 size, and it had all these symbols on it. And it took me about three months to translate. It was a letter someone had written to his family, to his children, to say how much he was missing them. It just made me cry, because I thought, even across these unimaginable distances, there are fundamentals that stay exactly the same. And there's no one to talk to about this. I mean, the guys at work, they're great,

but they don't see it the way I do."

In response to your last question, no. I hate it. I much preferred it when the Doctor just dropped in to lend a hand. Making him president of Earth is just stupid - why would any government agree to have an alien be their president? It was only a few years ago that people couldn't agree if Obama was American or not.

Basically it makes the Doctor much more important than he actually should be.

>How did Davros survive Journey's End?
Emergency temporal shift, Dalek saved him, idk
>Who did the creepy voice about Silence in Pandorica Opens?
It was a Silence, before they'd properly created their look/voice.
>Why was Madame Covarian such a shit and undeveloped villain?
Shit writing
>What's the idea behind making cybermen flying / almighty robots in Nightmare in Silver?
If you give them more powers it makes them """"""""""""""""scarier""""""""""""""""""

>Why do army forces don't always agree with the Doctor in Pyramid in the end of the World if he's the president of the world?
Shitty writing
>Subjective question: do you like Doctor being the president both of the Earth and Gallifrey at some point?
Earth: no, it's retarded, I like him being a special advisor to UNIT though. Gallifrey: I like the idea that he has the role and does fuckall with it, it suits him
