I'm scared

If they stuck to spin offs with new characters like Rogue One it would be fine. But why the fuck a Han Solo prequel? Haven't they learnt how easy it is to piss off fans by giving an established character a shitty backstory? (and it will be shitty)

It's a massive universe all we get are events and people surrounding the original movies. Why not at least a Palpatine prequel?
